Mysore Public School is the senior-most residential school in Mysore among those affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi. The school offers instructions up to ISC (Std. XII). It will not be anexaggeration to call it the Heritage School of Mysore.

It is located on the periphery of the Heritage City in a sprawling campus of 80 acres of lush green land which is serene and scenic. It is just 9 km from the city at Rayanakere by H.D. Kote Road (Mysore-Mananthavadi Road) on the historical estate previously owned by Mysore Royalty, now owned by A. R.Educational Trust.  The campus has the design and structure reflecting the Royal grandeur and oriental architectural style. The architect of this grandiose vision is late Mr. Abdul Salam who was one of the Senior-most citizens of Karnataka with the most secular vision and image.
