The Mutt at Subbarayanakere area of Mysore is very famous. It belongs to Nanjangud Sri Raghavendra Swamy Mutt and considered to be the oldest Mutt at Mysore. Sri Sushameendra Teertharu started His profession as Dharmadhikari (religious head) in this Mutt in Poorva-Ashrama. Even today hundreds of His disciples and devotees recall those sentimental moments of having received Teertha and Mantrakshate with His nectar hands. 

Here is another news that brings smile on every devotee of Sri Sushameendra Teertharu. His name has now become a Civil Landmark in Mysore. The City Corporation of Mysore has made it possible by naming a major circle after His Holiness Sri Sushameendra Teertharu. The circle formed by intersections of famous N.S. Road and Veene Sheshanna Road has been named as "Sri Sri Sushameendra Teertha Sripandagalavara Vrutta (Sri Sushameendra Cirle). The naming ceremony was conducted on 23.03.2011 at the circle at 7.30 AM. City Mayor Sri Sandesh Swamy and his fellow corporation members declared it open to the public. Personal Secretary of Sri Swamiji,  Raja S. Rajagopalacharya graced the occasion.
