The college is situated within 5 Kms. of Mysore Railway Station. Sarada Vilas Law College is the second oldest college established in the year 1954, next only to the Bangalore Law. It is one of the ten colleges established by the Parent Organization: Sarada Vilas Educational Institutions (SVEI).

[Founders of Sarada Vilas Law College] Sarada Vilas Law College is a Co-educational College affiliated to the Karnataka State Law University navanagar, Hubli. It was started by Prof. Sampige Venkatapathaiah, an educationist, freedom fighter and an advocate with himself as the first principal of the college.
